8. Hann lét alla presta koma frá borgunum í Júda og afhelgaði fórnarhæðirnar, þar sem prestarnir höfðu fórnað, frá Geba til Beerseba. Hann braut og niður hæðir hafurlíkneskjanna, sem stóðu úti fyrir hliði Jósúa borgarstjóra, en það er á vinstri hönd, þá er inn er gengið um borgarhliðið.
