4. Ef vér segjum: ,Vér skulum fara inn í borgina,` þá er hungur í borginni og þá munum vér deyja þar, og ef vér sitjum hér kyrrir, munum vér og deyja. Skulum vér því fara yfir í herbúðir Sýrlendinga. Ef þeir láta oss lífi halda, þá lifum vér, en drepi þeir oss, þá deyjum vér.'
