32. Absalon sagði við Jóab: 'Sjá, ég sendi boð til þín og lét segja: ,Kom þú hingað og vil ég senda þig til konungs með þessa orðsending: Til hvers kom ég frá Gesúr? Betra væri mér að vera þar enn. En nú vil ég fá að koma fyrir augu konungs. Sé ég sekur, þá drepi hann mig.'`
