21. En er þeir voru burt farnir, stigu Jónatan og Akímaas upp úr brunninum, héldu áfram og fluttu Davíð konungi tíðindin. Og þeir sögðu við Davíð: 'Takið yður upp og farið sem skjótast yfir ána, því að þau ráð hefir Akítófel ráðið móti yður.'
