22. Síðan talaði konan af viturleik sínum við alla borgarbúa, svo að þeir hjuggu höfuð af Seba Bíkrísyni og fleygðu því út til Jóabs. Þá lét hann blása liðinu frá borginni, og fór hver heim til sín, en Jóab sneri aftur til Jerúsalem til konungs.
