8. En er þeir voru hjá stóra steininum, sem er hjá Gíbeon, mætti Amasa þeim. Jóab var klæddur brynjukufli sínum og gyrtur sverði utan yfir hann, og voru sverðsslíðrin fest við lend honum. Hljóp sverðið úr slíðrunum og féll til jarðar.
