6. Konungur og menn hans fóru til Jerúsalem í móti Jebúsítum, sem bjuggu í því héraði. Jebúsítar sögðu við Davíð: 'Þú munt eigi komast hér inn, heldur munu blindir menn og haltir reka þig burt.' Með því áttu þeir við: 'Davíð mun ekki komast hér inn.'
