8. Davíð sagði á þeim degi: 'Hver sem vill vinna sigur á Jebúsítum, skal fara um göngin til þess að komast að ,þeim höltu og blindu`, sem Davíð hatar í sálu sinni.' Þaðan er komið máltækið: 'Blindir og haltir komast ekki inn í musterið.'
