22. Þegar Guð hafði sett hann af, hóf hann Davíð til konungs yfir þeim. Um hann vitnaði hann: ,Ég hef fundið Davíð, son Ísaí, mann eftir mínu hjarta, er gjöra mun allan vilja minn.`
