17. Eftir þrjá daga stefndi hann saman helstu mönnum Gyðinga. Þegar þeir voru saman komnir, sagði hann við þá: 'Bræður, ekkert hef ég brotið gegn lýðnum eða siðum feðranna, en samt er ég fangi, framseldur Rómverjum í Jerúsalem.
