7. Þá heyrði ég til mannsins í línklæðunum, sem var uppi yfir fljótsvötnunum. Hann fórnaði hægri og vinstri hendi til himins og sór við þann, sem lifir eilíflega, og sagði: 'Eina tíð, tvær tíðir og hálfa tíð. Og þegar vald hans, sem eyðir hina helgu þjóð, er á enda, mun allt þetta fram koma.'
