19. Þá stóð Daníel, sem kallaður var Beltsasar, agndofa um stund, og hugsanir hans skelfdu hann. En konungur tók til máls og sagði: 'Beltsasar! Lát eigi drauminn né þýðing hans skelfa þig.' Beltsasar svaraði og sagði: 'Ég vildi óska, herra, að draumurinn rættist á óvinum þínum og þýðing hans á mótstöðumönnum þínum.
