8. Auk þess fékk hann honum eftirrit af konungsbréfi því, er út hafði verið gefið í Súsa, um að eyða þeim. Skyldi hann sýna Ester það og segja henni frá og bjóða henni að ganga fyrir konung og biðja hann miskunnar og leita vægðar hjá honum þjóð sinni til handa.
