17. Og í öllum skattlöndum og öllum borgum, þar sem skipun konungs og lagaboð hans kom, var gleði og fögnuður meðal Gyðinga, veisluhöld og hátíðisdagur. Og margir hinna heiðnu landsbúa gjörðust Gyðingar, því að ótti við Gyðinga var yfir þá kominn.
