7. Þá sagði Ahasverus konungur við Ester drottningu og Mordekai Gyðing: 'Sjá, hús Hamans hefi ég gefið Ester, og sjálfur hefir hann verið festur á gálga, fyrir þá sök, að hann hafði lagt hendur á Gyðinga.
