2. þá söfnuðust Gyðingar saman í borgum sínum um öll skattlönd Ahasverusar konungs til þess að leggja hendur á þá, er þeim leituðu tjóns. Og enginn fékk staðist fyrir þeim, því að ótti við þá var kominn yfir allar þjóðir.
