12. 'Þegar þú tekur manntal meðal Ísraelsmanna við liðskönnun, þá skulu þeir hver um sig greiða Drottni gjald til lausnar lífi sínu, þegar þeir eru kannaðir, svo að engin plága komi yfir þá vegna liðskönnunarinnar.
