9. Seg þú: Svo segir Drottinn Guð: Mun það vel gefast? Mun hinn örninn ekki slíta upp rætur hans og afsníða ávöxtu hans, og öll hans nýsprottnu blöð visna? Og eigi mun þurfa mikilla krafta að neyta eða mannafla við að hafa til þess að kippa honum upp með rótum.
