7. En handa landshöfðingjanum skuluð þér tiltaka landshluta beggja vegna við helguðu landspilduna og borgarreitinn, meðfram hinni helguðu landspildu og meðfram borgarreitnum, vestanmegin til vesturs og austanmegin til austurs, og skal hann vera jafnlangur einum erfðahluta ættkvíslanna og ná frá vesturtakmörkum til austurtakmarka landsins.
