6. Og Esra reis upp og gekk burt þaðan er hann hafði verið, fyrir framan musteri Guðs, og inn í herbergi Jóhanans Eljasíbssonar. Þar var hann um nóttina og neytti hvorki brauðs né drakk vatn, því að hann var hryggur yfir tryggðrofi hinna herleiddu.
