2. Þetta er ættarsaga Jakobs. Þegar Jósef var seytján ára gamall, gætti hann sauða með bræðrum sínum. En hann var smásveinn hjá þeim sonum Bílu og sonum Silpu, er voru konur föður hans. Og Jósef bar föður sínum illan orðróm um þá.
