7. Á jarðvistardögum sínum bar hann fram með sárum kveinstöfum og táraföllum bænir og auðmjúk andvörp fyrir þann, sem megnaði að frelsa hann frá dauða, og fékk bænheyrslu vegna guðhræðslu sinnar.
