17. Þá sagði Jeremía við Sedekía: 'Svo segir Drottinn, Guð allsherjar, Ísraels Guð: Ef þú gengur á vald höfðingjum Babelkonungs, þá munt þú lífi halda og borg þessi eigi verða brennd í eldi, og þú munt lífi halda og fólk þitt.
