8. Og Ísraelsmenn gjörðu svo sem Jósúa bauð, og tóku tólf steina upp úr Jórdan miðri, eins og Drottinn hafði lagt fyrir Jósúa, eftir tölu ættkvísla Ísraelsmanna, og báru þá yfir um með sér, þangað er þeir höfðu náttstað, og settu þá þar niður.
