3. Þeir sneru aftur til Jósúa og sögðu við hann: 'Lát ekki allan lýðinn fara upp þangað. Hér um bil tvær eða þrjár þúsundir manna geta farið og unnið Aí. Ómaka eigi allan lýðinn þangað, því að þeir eru fáliðaðir fyrir.'
