19. Anche da Manasse alcuni passarono a Davide, quando questi andò con i Filistei a combattere contro Saul; ma essi non furono di alcun aiuto ai Filistei, perché i principi dei Filistei, dopo essersi consultati, rimandarono Davide, dicendo: "Egli passerebbe dalla parte del suo signore Saul a prezzo delle nostre teste".
