17. Sennacherib scrisse pure lettere, per insultare l' Eterno, il DIO d' Israele, e per parlare contro di lui, dicendo: "Come gli dèi delle nazioni degli altri paesi non hanno liberato i loro popoli dalla mia mano così neppure il DIO di Ezechia libererà il suo popolo dalla mia mano".
