18. Allora tutto il popolo del paese andò al tempio di Baal e lo demolì; fece interamente a pezzi i suoi altari e le sue immagini e uccise davanti agli altari Mattan, sacerdote di Baal, Poi il sacerdote Jehoiada pose delle guardie intorno alla casa dell' Eterno.
