4. Ma il re di Assiria scoprì una congiura in Hosea, perché egli aveva inviato dei messaggeri a So, re d' Egitto, e non portava più il tributo al re di Assiria come era solito fare ogni anno. Perciò il re di Assiria lo fece imprigionare e lo rinchiuse in carcere.
