32. Absalom rispose a Joab: "Io ti avevo mandato a dire: "Vieni qui, affinché possa mandarti dal re a dirgli: Perché sono tornato da Gheshur? Sarebbe meglio per me se fossi rimasto là". Ora quindi permettimi di vedere la faccia del re. Se poi in me vi è qualche iniquità, che mi faccia morire!".
