8. I figli d' Israele fecero esattamente come Giosuè aveva comandato: presero dodici pietre di mezzo al Giordano, come l' Eterno aveva detto a Giosuè, in base al numero delle tribù dei figli d' Israele, e le portarono con loro di là dal fiume nel posto dove dovevano passare la notte, e le deposero là.
