6. Questo Esdra veniva da Babilonia. Era uno scriba esperto nella legge di Mosè, data dal SIGNORE, Dio d' Israele. Siccome la mano del SIGNORE, suo Dio, era su di lui, il re gli concesse tutto quello che domandò.
