4. ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನ ಮಾತು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಜಯಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಆಗ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಹೊರಟು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಜನರ ಒಟ್ಟು ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
