8. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಹಾಪಾಪಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ದಯದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪರಿಹರಿಸು; ನಾನು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನವಾಗಿ ನಡೆ ದೆನು ಅಂದನು.
