2. ಈ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ--ನಿಮಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು ಇರಬಾರದು, ಅವರು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸುವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರನ್ನು ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡನು.
