16. ಅರಸನು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದನೆಂದು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಜನರು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ದಾವೀದನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಭಾಗವೇನು? ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಏನು? ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ಯರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಡೇರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ದಾವೀ ದನೇ, ಈಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೋ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಡೇರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.
