20. ದಾವೀದನು ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಕುರಿ ಕಾಯುವವನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಇಷಯನು ತನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿ ಹೊರಡುವಾಗ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿ ಇರುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು.
