8. ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ ಬಹು ಕೋಪವಾಯಿತು; ಆ ಮಾತು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಸನಕರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇವರು ದಾವೀದ ನಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನನಗೆ ಸಾವಿರ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅವನಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವಲ್ಲದೆ ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನು ಅಂದನು.
