14. ದಾವೀದನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೋಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಜೀಫ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಸೌಲನು ದಿನಾಲು ಅವ ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
