4. ದಾವೀದನ ಜನರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಿತೋರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ದಿವಸವು ಇದೇ ಅಂದರು. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ಎದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿ ಏಕಾಂತವಾಗಿ ಸೌಲನ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯ ಅಂಚನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
