8. ಆಗ ಅಬೀಷೈಯು ದಾವೀ ದನಿಗೆ--ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಈಗ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಈಟಿಯಿಂದ ಒಂದೇ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹತ್ತುವಂತೆ ಹೊಡೆಯಲು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು; ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಹೊಡೆಯುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
