3. ಅಬೀಯ ನಿಗೂ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೂ ಯುದ್ಧ ಉಂಟಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಗ ಅಬೀಯನು ಯುದ್ಧಸ್ಥರಾದ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರಿದ್ದರು. ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಎಂಟು ಲಕ್ಷ ಮಂದಿ ಆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪರಾ ಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
