2 Chronicles 28.23
23. ಏನಂದರೆ, ಅವನು ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸುಗಳ ದೇವರುಗಳು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ--ಅವು ನನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ದಮಸ್ಕ ದವರ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವು ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಬೀಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದವು.
