2. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‌ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಸರಿದು ಬಿಕ್ರೀಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೆಬನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋದರು. ಆದರೆ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವ ಯೆಹೂದ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
