9. ಆಗ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಅಮಾಸನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನೇ, ಕ್ಷೇಮವೋ ಅಂದನು. ಯೋವಾಬನು ಮುದ್ದಿಡುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ತನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯಿಂದ ಅವನ ಗಡ್ಡವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅಮಾಸನು ಯೋವಾಬನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕತ್ತಿ ಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರುಳುಗಳು ಹೊರಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನ ಪಕ್ಕೆಯ ಐದನೇ ಎಲುಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿವಿದನು.
