16. ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಗೂ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆತನು--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅನೇಕರನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸದೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆ ಒಬ್ಬಾತನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೇ.
