16. ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಲದಿಂದ ಬಂದಾಗ ಲೇಯಳು ಅವನೆದುರಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಬೇಕು; ನನ್ನ ಮಗನ ದುದಾಯಗಳ ಬಾಡಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದಳು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗಿದನು.
