9. ನಾನಾ ವಿಧವಾದ ಅನ್ಯೋಪದೇಶಗಳ ಸೆಳವಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕೃಪೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ದೃಢ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು ಉತ್ತಮವೇ; ಭೋಜನ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗ್ನರಾದವರು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೂ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನ ಹೊಂದಲಿಲ್ಲ.
