16. ಹೀಗೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಯೆರೆ ವಿಾಯನಿಗೆ ಅಂತರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ --ನಮಗೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕರ್ತನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ; ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
