12. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು--ನೀನು ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಹೋಗಗೊಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಲ್ಲ; ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ವವನು ಕೈಸರನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
